Welcome to the Huia Master Swimmers Club website

We are a swimming club for adults based at the Huia Pool in Lower Hutt. Our club members have a range of swimming abilities and goals. Most swim for fitness, fun and to socialise with other swimmers, while others train to compete in New Zealand Masters sanctioned meets or for endurance events such as triathlons, ocean swims and ironman.

Club Nights

Club night is Sunday from 6.00 - 7.00pm. The format is unstructured. You can swim your own programme or ask another member to set a programme for you. We hire the whole pool so you can easily choose a lane that fits your programme and abilities.

Introductory Offer

You are invited to swim with us in the pool for a few club nights before you join.

Membership Options

Huia Masters offer two membership options

1. Social Membership $80.00 per year
2. New Zealand Masters Membership $130.00

This option is required for swimmers who wish to compete in New Zealand Masters sanctioned swimming meets.

We hire the whole pool, not just a few lanes so there is plenty of space to swim. Pool entry charges are included in the annual subscription fee.

Swimmers are eligible for New Zealand Masters membership in the year they turn 20

To join, please complete the membership form and bring it along to club night.

Social Activities

After your session enjoy a soak in the hot spa.

Every December we hold our Tin Man competition before the Christmas barbecue.
